| Very well worth the trip. Bus ride from Hanoi takes about 4hrs, so make sure to book a 2-day trip with overnight stay on the boat. Ususally the 3-day trips are not worth it, as they contain just a quick (2hr) walk in Cat Ba island national park and then they dump you in Cat Ba village for the rest of the day.
